Dr. Joe Coyne, founder of the West Side Hockey Association, was one of the most devoted and enthusiastic hockey supporters in Madison. He was a great booster of the University of Wisconsin program and a recipient of the Blue Line Club Award. He was influential in the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association in its formative years.
